Ganesh Chaturthi is a popular Hindu festival celebrated across India with great zeal and enthusiasm. It is a time of feasting, dancing, and celebrating with family and friends. The group collaborated with an orphanage to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in a unique and sustainable way. The group organized a workshop for the kids to make Ganesha murtis using clay, which is a biodegradable material that does not harm the environment. The workshop was not only an opportunity to teach the kids about sustainable practices but also a chance to get creative and make something unique.
Once the idols were completed, they were painted with eco-friendly colors, which are made from natural dyes that do not harm the environment. The idols were then placed in a beautiful setting, and the kids were able to perform the traditional Ganesh puja, a prayer ritual to offer respect to Lord Ganesha.
The celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi with eco-friendly Ganesha murtis at an orphanage was a great success. It was an opportunity to teach the kids about the importance of sustainable practices and to celebrate the festival in a socially responsible way. The experience was a reminder that we can celebrate our cultural traditions while also being mindful of the impact they have on the environment. By making small changes to our celebrations, we can create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.
